srry its been a wile since iv done this what would u set for pitch and roll on a func_door_rotating if u want it to raise up like a grage door

depends on which way the door is pointing in the map.

it either the x or y axis, Z is the default axis

thats the X axis...

(top view is X and Y axis the horizontal is X and vertical is Y )

Edit:

You could off tried both anywayz to see the motion. But i do understand asking for the garage door i once needed an attic door and needed help for that too (same principal).

so you want it to go straight up or go up and rotate so when its open the door will look as if its laying across the ceiling?

for straight up just use the func_door entity on it and change the angle to up.

There is more kinds of garage doors. Thats why im confused by your question ( and probably Slackiller too ), you ask by a func_rotating_door, which at least i think u meant by something like an attic door but a bit different.

I now assume u mean a railed type, which lifts up and then goes into a 90 degrees turn, and u see it slide over the ceiling. If thats what u wanna make u might have to think in a train like movement, or 2 brushes making the garage door.

Hope either of us has answered your question now. Sorry for not understanding the question but be more exact next time plz. Razz

func_door_rotating
add the origin brush at the top where the pivot will be

in the func_door_rotating properties window , go to flags tab and select either the x or y axis. depending on which way the door is pointng in level
