Im making a map where i wish to make only certain guns availible... what do i do to make this work... i know about no buyzones... and... how can i set pistols out like i can rifles... smgs .... etc

create an armoury_entity in your map, then select it and press alt-enter.
now, highlight the class name (armoury entity) and type in "weapon_deagle" without the "s.

if it's not already off, turn off smartedit.

now, that's the gun set up, but no ammo... so create another armoury_entity, alt-enter, highlight the class name and type in "ammo_50ae".

viola. desert eagle fun at your fingertips every round...

for p288, similar steps, only type "weapon_p228"
and the ammo should be "ammo_357sig"

now for the wierd part...

because the entities are not armoury_entities, they are a little odd. count has no effect on the number of guns, nor the number of clips...
u can pick up clips for any gun,
and the oddest part is the clips will respawn like in halflife deathmatch.

you'll need to strip weapons then give weapons you want them to have.

most of the weapons are already named in there.

weapon_glock18
weapon_usp
weapon_deagle

weapon_elite

shotguns:
weapon_m3
weapon_xm1014

submachines:
weapon_mp5navy
weapon_tmp
weapon_p90
weapon_mac10

rifles:
weapon_ak47
weapon_sg552
weapon_m4a1
weapon_aug
weapon_scout
weapon_awp
weapon_g3sg1

heavy auto:
weapon_m249

some arent there due to version differences (eg. ump).
i'm sure you'd be able to work them out.

ammo_45acp
ammo_9mm
ammo_50ae
ammo_357sig
ammo_57mm
ammo_762mm
ammo_556mm
ammo_338 (awm ammo, but probably wrong)

when i use those entities... with smartedit off or on... it just gives me a mp5 instead. do i need another fgd. i have halflife_cs_expert
