Hey Slackiller, I don't know if you remember me or not but I'm from Gangwars the mod. As you know the mod wasn't doing too well. The site went down and forums. A bunch of new people who saw that the mod had a lot of fans still around helped bring it back and made some forums. With this new help and the GW veterans we are working to release a Source version of Gangwars. The guys have decided for a beta with some new maps. Though I'm not really an official member of the team (Not really any official team) I am asking if you could please use your mapping skills to help bring this classic mod back from the dead. Any mod that has this much support and long-time fans deserves to survive. If you have a Half-Life 2 version of gw_vine it would be awesome. The GW Source beta I think is supposed to include like one model per team and maybe around three new maps I think. I'm also trying to help with mapping but not as good as you. Also, to get some new people into the mod you could put a Gangwars graphics to the side on your front page. Everyone expects great things from this mod.

I do have my de_vine map nearly completed. Just been waiting on these sdk bugs to be fixed.

I could port it to gw.

Let me know when the fgd is available and whatever else.
They are using the cs:s cache files system correct. (materials and models)

I don't know. Ask on the forums. For .fgd I'm sure just using the regular half-life 2 settings would work. I'm not sure about de_vine since it's using CS entites and settings. I guess it worked good last time because Gangwars used the CS .fgd. I'm sure everyone would appreciate vine. Just ask on the forums. Thank you.
