why do i do this?:
Then add in an env_cubemap entity and open the properties window for it, hit the "brush faces" line, click
on the pick button and then pick your water face. After you've compiled the map and while in game type in
"buildcubemaps" in console and restart map
it's in the tutorials for source
i think it said to do it for the window too |

what happens if i add the entity and don't run the command
and if i run the command does the it work for everytime after that without me running the command? |

if you add the entity and do not run the command, nothing happens.
once you run it, it is good for that version of the map. If you recompile after changes are made you need to run it again. |
