I was thinking about this today and wanted to see if it truly is posable.
I wanted to make a map, that does misalaniuse things on my comand in the console. No matter what server my map is on, I can go in and put in my password for the map. and make things happen.

The only thing I was able to make for CS with my Out-Side-CS-Scripting knowladge was with VB, so i made an exe that runs in the background and working with a cfg i made, so you can show the time, randomly change your name in the game and other crap Razz

If you want 'secret' stuff in your map you might make a small secret room. That you can enter through a teleport ( maybe somewhere in mid air ). Also i heard you might be able to trigger a teleport by shooting on something. And you could teleport into a room with normall buttons to controll stuff in your level. Just a suggestion !

If anyone saw the 'surf' maps yet, they made MAP commands or something in them, for i keep seeing the msg 'Use sv_airaccelerate 100 and put gravity on blablabla'. I dunno how they did that but ... what i do know is they couldn't make that an automatic setting but what i don't understand is how they got the msg in ! ( i have used a few maps on my own server it keeps displaying the same msgs without me really wanting it ! )

putting a mesage in the map is easy. They use the game_text entity to display those mesages. It has 4 channals the only way to get rid of them is by removing the entity from the map.
