Ive played the map since Alpha and I loved it.
Playing it during 1.3 was fun but it was so small even for 10 players, we need an expanded version 
Now i have alot of inside knowledge as the creator of Sands of War and I hear thru the grapevine that player speeds will be dramitaclly reduced to help make the mod more tactical. Stay tuned for Sands of War 2.0
Hopefully it will have some new areas on Village
