It's a point entity. pick it from list and place one in your map, and the snow will fall from all brushes with the sky texture on it. (covered on all sides) |

| Make a brush to the size, shape you want then texture with a water texture (must be water texture on all sides of brush or an compile error will come up), tie to entity func_water, Render mode= Texture,fx amount 0 -255 depending on how transparent you want water, also other perameters if you choose: waves, flow,etc..... |

In regards to having the snow falling in the map, will this FGD file work with the new version of Hammer? (Hammer:Source)
Also if the FGD file is compatible, where should this file and the sprites be located now we have a brand spanking new map editor?!!
Yep I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to place the files!! Help
One more question.. if r_rainsimulate 0 is being used (Rain off in aztec etc) then will you fail to see the snow? or is it another command... or is it totally irelevent for this?!!
Hippy. |

I doubt the old fgd will work in new cs:s.
On these forums is where I'm finding most of the good tutorials for now
http://www.hl2world.com/bbs/viewforum.php?f=24
Some one even made a modified fgd file to show player models at spawns.
De_vine remake..... hmmmmmmmm
Let me on that for awhile

Question about rain and water:
I made a map and i just got some water in it, but some blocks through it without clipping it away or adjusting the size of the water. Will this work against me while compiling?
And i have a question about rain. I have seen a lot of rain but will aztec rain work in like a small region of the map? I made a map with a waterfall and I wanted to make it a lil more real by letting it rain in a small area around the waterfall itself? Is this possible with 'Hammer 3.4 SDK' for 'counter strike 1.6'? |

the new way is there is an env_rain entity.
you could make it happen using the old way with env_beam and the rain sprite.
Theres a tutorial on the VERC site |
